The classic sailing yacht EMMALINE (ex CARL LINNE), was originally launched as Christofell’s Lighthouse by Holland Jachtbouw. Inspired by the J-classic Endeavour, she makes a daring statement, merging past and future. She embodies strength, splendour and efficiency. With a deep retractable keel she is designed with performance and practicality in mind and is no doubt destined for world cruising.

This classic sailing yacht once known as CARL LINNE had been named in honour of the 18th century Swedish biologist, physician and zoologist. Readily regarded as the “Darwin” of the natural world, Linné was renowned as one of the most influential scientists of the age. His students pursued the quest of knowledge throughout the globe. His protégés voyaged to Iceland, the Faeroes, Asia Minor, Japan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and accompanied James Cook’s expedition to the Pacific in 1768. In this spirit of discovery, adventure and the appreciation of natural beauty, the classic sailing yacht EMMALINE (ex Carl Linné) has embarked on a global journey of discovery.

Sailing yacht EMMALINE sleeps six guests in three cabins. The full width master suite aft enjoys private access with a private aft cockpit. Two further guest cabins forward include one en-suite double and one twin.

Modern Classic sailing yacht EMMALINE (ex CARL LINNE) is equipped with a Novurania TR380 with a 30 HP, 4 stroke outboard, Fishing gear, Snorkelling gear, 2 kayaks, 2 windsurfers, a wakeboard, a donut and a hydrophone for whale finding. Audio Visual Equipment onboard includes a Multi-region DVD player and library, LCD TVs, Bose AV Lifestyle system, Ipod connectivity and a CD/radio in each cabin. Communications equipment onboard includes GSM Triband phone, Iridium worldwide telephony and Sat C worldwide email. Inmarsat Broadband internet and telephone connection.
