Ravello is part of the vibrant Amalfi Coast and charms luxury yacht charter groups from its cliff-top perch with plenty of coves and beaches to explore at its base, as well as a history spanning the centuries that has created atmospheric ruins, aromatic gardens and a lively cafe culture. Go to the full Italy Yacht Charter Guide.
Stretching from the coastal towns of Atrani to Minori, Ravello is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that makes the perfect backdrop to a honeymoon or other special event charter: Visit Le Ville di Ravello or Villa Cimbrone for the spectacular gardens overlooking the bay and spend your summer evenings listening to live music.
Virginia Woolf, M.C. Escher and Graham Greene are among the writers and artists that have been inspired by its architecture and relaxed pace of life, and modern day artists and photographers will encounter one opportunity after another to awe friends and make unforgettable memories.
There is the chance to spend each day enjoying a different town excursion or stretch of the coast: Local beaches can be found at Amalfi, Atrani, Minori and Maiori and the area is excellent for fishing or simply spending an afternoon sunbathing from the sundeck or bow of your luxury yacht.
If you ever choose to move on from this fantastic paradise then city delights are close by: Salerno is to the east, Naples is to the north and the island of Capri is a short cruise away to the west for more beaches and grottoes in scenic ivory coloured cliffs covered in dense vegetation.
Although Ravello is a year-round destination, sunbathing weather begins in May when the average temperature is 20°C/68°F before climbing over June and July to reach a high of up to 30°C/86°F in August, which is also the driest month. Wind and rain are light during the summer, however guests should take lightweight coverings for after sundown.
