HALCYON

Classic sailing yacht HALCYON measures 28.96m (95’) and was launched in 1929 by John Thornycroft and refitted in 2006. HALCYON can accommodate up to 8 charter guests in four cabins and have a crew of 3 on board.

EXTERIOR

On the main deck, the cockpit provides a comfortable space for guests to gather outside in the sunshine, and sunbathers can rest on the roof of the coach-house or along the padded benches along the sides. A square alfresco dining table is placed on the foredeck and there is bench-like seating to sit all guests together. The foredeck is used for storing the tender, and when clear can be used for sunbathing, exercise and observation.

INTERIOR

The lower deck places the guest accommodation forward and aft of the central salon, with the galley forward. The central salon was a C-shaped sofa around a formal dining table, with additional chairs to seat all eight guests. Opposite, a sofa/daybed is placed along the port wall where guests can unwind with reading material. The room is filled with classic elements, such as the original fireplace and old barometers.

A stairway leads to the deck above, where a padded sofa is placed beneath the large traditional windows. A TV is placed forward for entertainment during transit.

The 130 HP Perkins, Mastervolt Whisper 16 KW generator produces a cruising speed of 6 knots and a top speed of 7 knots.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The accommodation sleeps up to 8 guests across 4 cabins: 1 Master suite, 1 VIP twin and 2 twins.
The Master suite is placed to starboard with the VIP twin placed to port and both have an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. The two twin cabins forward of the salon share a bathroom containing a toilet, sink and shower.
The cabins are furnished in beautiful Burma teak and most of it is from when she was originally built.
The crew of 3 will ensure that everyone on board is well taken care of throughout the cruise.
