St Lucia & the Grenadines - 8 Day Yacht Charter Itinerary

An 8-day private yacht charter itinerary visiting St Lucia, St Vincent, Mustique and othe places in the Grenadines.

Day 1:

Your yacht will be anchored in the Front of the St Lucian Hotel, Rodney Bay for pick up at 11.30am
Luc will Rendezvous with you at the Rodney Bay Marina Tender Dock. Lunch will be served on board and you will spend the afternoon sailing to the stunning Pitons for your first evening aboard.

Day 2:

Today after a hearty breakfast you will sail from St Lucia to Young island/St Vincent. St. Vincent is crossed by hiking trails that rival Hawaii's finest, native Arawak rock carvings more than 1,000 years old, and a Botanical Garden containing the offspring of Captain Bligh's original breadfruit trees.

Lots of sailing is planned for today and Lunch will be prepared and served at sea. You may like to call in at Petit Bayhaut for some snorkeling. Tonight you will most likely drop anchor at Young Island Cut.

Day 3:

After breakfast you have an easy reach to the stunning island of Bequia. Sailing from St. Vincent, you'll enjoy the company of flying fish skimming the waves and dolphins directing your course to Bequia. Sail into the superb shelter of Admiralty Bay, once home to square-rigged warships of the British Navy, now home to pleasure yachts and beachcombers. Both the east and west coasts of Bequia offer wonderful beaches. The east coast's soft, deep sands of Friendship Bay can be reached by foot, while Industry Bay on the west coast is available by a short taxi ride. In the afternoon you will sail on to Petit Nevis there is a beautiful natural harbor in the front of the island which is perfect for overnight stays.

Day 4:

Today will be spent sailing from Petit Nevis to the famous Island of Mustique. One of the most exclusive ports of call in all the world, this small retreat in a wide ocean attracts the rich and famous with its luxurious villas, splendid scenery and reputation for meticulously preserving the natural beauty. Mustique's Britannia Bay is well worth the visit. On the beach to the left of the jetty is Basil's Bar and Restaurant. Constructed almost entirely of bamboo and palm fronds, Basil's has a very laid back Caribbean charm. Its stilt foundation stretches out over the bay, and one can take in lunch or sip cocktails and literally watch the tide come in. Basil's Bar has an interesting array of tropical drinks and local concoctions to enhance views of the Caribbean Sunset. Your crew have recommended dinner at the Cotton House which is one of Mustique’s most famous locations. Originally an 18th-century coral warehouse, transformed into a restaurant, the Verandah Terrace is the perfect venue for memorable dining. The French Chef, serves light and refined cuisine inspired by local products from the Caribbean with a touch of Asian influence.

Day 5:

Today will be spent sailing to Tobago Cays. The Tobago Cays are a group of small deserted islands protected from the sea by Horseshoe Reef. The water and reef colors are a kaleidoscope of gold, brown, blue, turquoise, and green. There are small sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The water here is so beautiful you will almost certainly want to jump right in and maybe snorkel to the nearest reef. Tonight you will anchor at the protected Mayreau.

Day 6:

Today can be spent exploring the Tobago Cays. You may like to visit Union Island to do a bit of shopping. Union Island is known as the Tahiti of the Grenadines as it is alive and bustling and services the Tobago cays which are much quieter and less developed. You can anchor for the evening at Petit Vincent, Visit Palm Island which is just one mile from Union Island, or may also wish to start your trip north and visit the Island of Canouan which has a Barrier Reef running down the Atlantic Side of the Island.

Day 7:

You will start heading north today and cover some distance especially if you have decided to stay down in the Tobago Cays for the extra night. Today will be spent sailing heading back to St Vincent. You will spend the evening anchored at the town of Cumberland on the Western side of St Vincent.

Day 8:

Set Sail for St Lucia and perhaps spend the night near Vieux Fort. Vieux Fort is a charming town with old wooden buildings and a large fishing fleet. East of town, the Maria Islands are a nature reserve with unique wildlife. If you are feeling energetic hike up to the Moule a Chique lighthouse provides a great view.

Day 9:

Enjoy your last leisurely sail back to Souffriere Bay in time to disembark and catch a taxi to meet you flight home.
