The public transport on Hydra is by donkey: There are no vehicles allowed which means the air is clean and the wild landscape untouched. It’s a very popular yachting destination in the Eastern Mediterranean with a craggy coastline that is best seen from a deck on board your charter yacht. Hydra means “water” and was named because of the many springs found here. With its white alley ways, Greystone mansions and delightful harbour town, it’s perfection with a capital “P”.
