The Louis Vuitton Cup, the America’s Cup Challenger Series, will now be the Prada Cup which represents a selection series to decide who will race the Defender in the America’s Cup Finals.
The PRADA Cup hosts the challengers from around the globe who will race in a challenging series for the opportunity to compete for the America’s Cup. The first Louis Vuitton Cup took place in Newport, Rhode Island in 1983. It was an auspicious debut, as the winner of the first Louis Vuitton Cup, Australia II, went on to become the first challenger in the 132-history of the America’s Cup to beat the defender and take the Cup from the United States. From that beginning, it’s clear that the Louis Vuitton Cup serves dual purposes – first to determine who will advance to the America’s Cup Finals, but also to prepare the Challenger to race on level terms with the Defender. Prior to the first Louis Vuitton Cup in 1983, no challenger had ever found success in unseating the US-based defender. But following that first win by Australia II, the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup has gone on to claim the America’s Cup four out of seven times.

Louis Vuitton Cup offers a superb opportunity to witness the spectacle and scenic adventure of yacht sailing. There are bare boats, catamarans, flotilla, crewed and skippered yachts available to view the yacht racing. On an America's Cup charter you have a chance to sail the beautiful surroundings as well as enjoy this amazing race to its fullest from an outstanding prospective.
America’s Cup Yacht Charters allow you to enjoy luxury accommodation while staying aboard a luxury catamaran or a yacht while you watch the racing on a spectacular evening cruise. Also consider a corporate cruise aboard a luxury superyacht to build strong team relationships and reward team efforts. What better way to experience the adrenalin of the yacht racing and build company morale? Small groups will thoroughly enjoy the adrenalin-packed cup action of the America's Cup yacht racing aboard a luxury boat. An America's Cup yacht charter will remain firmly etched in everyone's memories for years to come.
Americas Cup Yacht Charters are well-appointed, available for fantastic race viewing and are readily accessible to the magnificent race course. Your charter yacht can usually take between 12 and 20 guests but larger charters can sometimes be arranged.
