Pattaya in Thailand is located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, about 165 km southeast of Bangkok. The waters off Pattaya deliver good solid sailing conditions all year round with plenty of deserted tropical bays to drop anchor for the night making it an ideal charter destination year round.

Pattaya is home to Ocean Marina Yacht Club, the only Marina in the Gulf of Thailand and supports Thailand’s most vibrant yacht racing community. Pattaya also hosts the Top of The Gulf regatta, one of Thailand’s largest sailing events.

The Pattaya cruising area is a great charter destination for local Asians or for visiting tourists. Uninhabited islands lined with long white sandy beaches and crystal clear water lie just 10 miles off the coast of the bustling city of Pattaya, that has long been associated with the nightlife that stemmed from the RR day of the Vietnam War.

The island of Koh Sichang is located just 20 miles north of Ocean Marina Yacht Club and is steeped with a seafaring history dating back many hundreds of years. The Chinese style town and cave temple are both a must to see while on your Pattaya yacht charter.

The Island of Koh Samet lies approximately 60 miles southeast, of Pattaya and supports a multitude of resorts ranging from high end spa’s to low key beach bungalows. Koh Samet island has some of the best beaches found in the whole country. Hat Sai Kaew (Diamond Beach), Ao Vong Duan and Ao Prao is three of them.

Pattaya’s surrounding islands are managed by the Thai military and offer only limited access with no form of tourist infrastructure.
