Montserrat yacht charter vacations bring you back in time to a Caribbean as it used to be. Black sand beaches, caves and cliffs form the striking northern coastline of Monserrat, which for the most part can only be accessed by luxury yacht - perfect for a special occasion private crewed yacht charter in the Caribbean.
This Lesser Antilles island has an imposing volcano to the south which erupted in 1995 and left lasting changes on Montserrat, yet this carefully monitored site draws tourists from around the world who come to see the ruins of Plymouth and the impressive crater from the peak of Garibaldi Hill.
On land, visitors exploring the coastline will discover small settlements with the laid-back Caribbean feel with British and Irish influences in the accents, the cuisine and the festivities: St. Patrick's Day is celebrated with enthusiasm and carnivals with calypso music and fireworks can be viewed up close or from your superyacht sundeck in the bay. Restaurants and cafes have a casual atmosphere and shops are few and far between - Montserrat is very much about getting out into nature and connecting with the powerful and pristine surroundings.

The interior is hilly and trekkers and bike riders will certainly find a challenge, which is one more reason why verdant Montserrat has fewer tourists. Local guides can be hired to learn more about the rain forests and the flora and fauna that feeds off the rich volcanic soil.
Dive sites are plentiful and your group is likely to have it all to themselves; old ship anchors throng the dive site at Redona, and stingrays are often sighted at Pot of Gold.
Should you choose to move on from peaceful Montserrat, a short cruise will take you to Guadeloupe, Dominica and Martinique to the south and St Kitts & Nevis, St. Barthelemy and Anguilla to the north, where there is an abundance of shopping choices and a roaring social scene night and day.
