California Luxury Yacht Charters

There’s nothing quite like exploring the west coast of America on a luxury yacht charter vacation.  The best time of year for a California yacht charter is from May to November, however Southern California’s season can be enjoyed all year round. During your voyage, your captain will probably dock in one of the two natural harbours, San Diego or San Francisco Bay.  There are plenty of man-made attractions, natural playgrounds and dramatic landscapes to enjoy on shore. It’s not surprising that California attracts millions of visitors from around the world every year. This sunshine state, located on the western coast of the US also has attractions galore.

Take a stunning coastal drive in a 4x4, try sailing on Lake Tahoe or watch a killer whale in action at SeaWorld in San Diego. The Redwood National Park as is also well worth a visit. The park has a forest of the world’s tallest trees, fantastic scenic routes as well as enjoyable activities like horse riding and mountain biking.

With its Hollywood heritage and characterful islands, cruising is ideal in Southern California. Newport Beach is the perfect playground for mega yachts. The waters at Newport Beach, just off the coast of Los Angeles are also popular with Hollywood legends. From John Wayne to Dean Martin, Marilyn Monroe and Angelina Jolie, many stars have enjoyed and still do enjoy the laid-back atmosphere here. Moor up at Newport Beach Yacht Club, one of the oldest in the US and take a stroll over the bridge to Balboa Island. The island has sweet houses with white picket fences, salt water taffy shops as well as clapboard ice-cream stores, it’s full of nostalgia.

Relax and recharge your batteries on Venice Beach, Los Angeles. It’s one of L.A.’s most popular beaches, a laid-back three-mile sandy beach, ideal for topping up your tan. Check out Ocean Front Walk with its street performers, people doing their own thing, biking, roller skating and even bodybuilding.

No trip to California would be complete without seeing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge near San Francisco. This famous red-orange bridge is one of the most photographed bridges in the world.
