SOUTHWINDS is a beautiful, classic and impeccably maintained sailing yacht, first launched in 1950 and refitted in 2020. This breath-taking 18.5m yacht was designed by Sir Robert Clarke, who became famous for designing Gypsy Moth IV – the first boat sailed single-handedly around the globe. Her streamlined design allows her to reach high speeds, while her expansive deck ensures guests have ample space to relax while cruising.

EXTERIOR

SOUTHWINDS has been lovingly maintained throughout her extensive history, and has undergone various restorations and renovations to keep her up to date with modern chartering standards. The hull was constructed with Huon Pine planks and spotted gum ribs, and to this day continues to be an absolute head-turner in the harbor. Her long waterline provides expansive decks, allowing guests plenty of room for kicking back with a drink and enjoying the sights.

INTERIOR

Below deck in the main salon, there is a booth dining area with a comfortable ‘C’ shaped couch surrounding a large dining table. Opposite, there is an open galley, equipped with everything guests might need to prepare delicious meals. This open-plan design plus the large windows create a luxurious, spacious atmosphere, making this the perfect social hub of the yacht.
