PLUM

Cutter rigged 21,9m (72ft) sailing yacht PLUM was launched in 2001 and refitted in 2010. S/Y PLUM was built by Solaris, with naval architecture by Doug Peterson and design by Dick Young, she is a sea worthy and comfortable yacht. Sailing yacht PLUM has a professional crew of 2 and is available for charter on the US West Pacific coast.

Below decks the craftsman ship and attention to detail is evident throughout. Constructed from Burma teak the yacht offers a warm and relaxed interior atmosphere. The salon boasts 360 degree views from the deck house windows. A formal dining area and settee are on the port side with fine leather soft furnishings and a beautiful custom teak table with intricate inlays.

Eight to nine guests are accommodated in 2 double cabins aft and 1 double and 1 twin cabin forward.

Sail yacht PLUM has plenty of exterior space, with wrap around teak decks. Directly up the companion way from the salon, a large private guest cockpit is free from lines and features a large alfresco dining table and ample seating, easily accommodating all 8 guests in comfort. An optional Bimini cover is available if requested. Aft of the guests cockpit, is the helm and working cockpit. Further aft an open teak deck area is spacious, ideal for relaxing or taking in all the sailing action.

The Solaris PLUM is powered by one Volvo 318HP engine capable of 8 – 10 knots. While under sail S/Y PLUM offers 240 square meters of sail upwind and 446 square meters downwind, she is capable of 8 – 14 knots under sail. Sailing yacht PLUM has a beam of 5.8m (19ft) and a draft of 3m (9.10ft).
