Wild Group International is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with the Palma-based ECOsuperyacht. This will see ECOsuperyacht offer Wild Group International’s vinyl yacht wrapping service to their clients as well as act as their local representative in Mallorca.

Wild and ECOsuperyacht

“We first met Richard at METS in 2012 and immediately realised his knowledge of the Superyacht industry and contacts through his company ECO Superyacht was perfect for our expansion plans,” stated Clare Hoar, Marketing Director Wild Group.

“ECOsuperyacht is always looking for new ways in which to reduce the overall environmental impact of owning and operating a superyacht. Our practical approach to selecting the products and services places great emphasis on cost and performance. For this reason we are pleased to be working with Wild Group International, the leaders in their field, to offer a vinyl wrapping service for yachts, as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional paint finishes,” commented Richard Franklin, owner of ECO Superyacht.

Wild Group International have 20 years experience in this business, not only applying vinyl wrapping to superyachts, but also providing stunning graphics and hull branding to the Volvo, Clipper and Vendee Globe fleets, exposing their work to the toughest imaginable conditions. Whether to refinish a whole yacht, or just the topsides, or even her tenders or toys, vinyl wrapping is the way forward.

Not only does vinyl yacht wrapping avoid the need to use the highly toxic chemicals currently found in almost all high end yacht paints, but it achieves a great finish at a fraction of the time and cost of conventional paint finishes. Furthermore, the shine will still be there long after a paint finish would have dulled, whilst the UV protection offered by vinyl not only makes one’s yacht look good but also protects her from the effects of the harsh Mediterranean sun.

The range of colours and surface effects available from vinyl yacht wrapping is enormous. Should one really want his yacht wrapped in carbon fibre effect from end to end, then all one has to do is ask. And if, on reflection, he later decides that it wasn’t such a good idea, he can quickly and easily change the colour.

In addition to longevity of the finish, low cost and environmental impact, there are other significant practical benefits. Although application requires reasonable weather, it is not necessary to have one’s yacht tented. In the event of damage, repair is quick and easy, restoring an excellent finish in a fraction of the time needed to make a similar repair to a painted finish.
