The winners of this year's Conny van Rietschoten Trophee have been unveiled. The event is sponsored by the prestigious Dutch luxury yacht manufacturer, Royal Huisman.

The winners of this year’s annual Conny van Rietschoten Trophee have been announced. Sponsored by the leading Dutch superyacht builder Royal Huisman, the Trophee is presented to persons, who have made an outstanding sailing achievement. The National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam was the venue for the announcement of this year’s winners.

This year’s Winners:
– Simeon Tienpont receives the “Conny van Rietschoten” Trophee as yachtsman of the year

– Dewi Couvert receives “Flyer” Trophee as young talent

– The “Maas” Trophee is for Robert van Notten for various voluntary work at for example Dutch Youth Regatta

These most prestigious Dutch awards are named after Conny van Rietschoten who won the 1977/1978 and the 1981/1982 Whitbread Round the World Race with Flyer I and Flyer II, both built by Royal Huisman.
