The prestigious Italian luxury yacht manufacturer, VSY, has been honoured with the UIM Special Mention for Environmental Benefit. The award was received by Vienna Eleuteri, VSY Sustainability Project Manager, during the annual UIM World Champions Awards Giving Gala, held on February 23.
VSY, has become the first European shipyard ever that has signed the Wood Forever Pact launched by Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. This well known Italian builder has constructed the impressive 72-metre megayacht Stella Maris that was on display at the prestigious boat shows in Monaco and Genoa.
One of the Owners/Directors of VSY, Cristiana Longarini, was honoured with the Yacht Capital Marina Yachting Award 2012 at this year’s Genoa Boat Show. The yard’s 72m megayacht Stella Maris was a real star of the show.
Starting this Saturday, this year’s Genoa International Boat Show will host around 900 exhibitors. The largest luxury vessel on display will be the 72-metre superyacht Stella Maris by Viareggio Superyachts.
Following a huge success of the first SuperyachtDesign Summit held earlier this year, preparations for the second edition of this highly anticipated event are in a full swing. Taking place on September 25, it will be attended by Europe’s most respected luxury yacht designers, including Stefano Pastrovich, Espen Oeino and Marnix Hoekstra.
Built by the well known Italian shipyard VSY, the 72m megayacht Stella Maris was successfully launched in La Spezia on July 27. Being the largest luxury vessel produced in Viareggio in the last 30 years, her launch required the special structures of the military Arsenal.
