China plans to build a luxury superyacht marina in the northern city of Tianjin by the end of 2010. The new marina will cover an area of 900,000 square meters in Tianjin’s booming Binhai district and will have 750 berths to accommodate superyachts up to 92m (300ft).
Work on Croatia’s first megayacht Marina, Mandalina Marina & Yacht Club began immediately after the Adriatic Boat Show, on September 21st. The superyacht marina, worth around EURO 17 million is expected to open in summer 2011 and will have a capacity of 79 berths for yachts up to 100 meters long.
The 5th St. Marina in Miami, USA has expanded by renovating an adjacent shipping yard and now includes 6 deepwater berths for Mega-Yachts, superyachts or Commercial vessels of 100ft+. At the new facility, Captains can choose to obtain shipside services themselves or procure services from contractors already operating at the Marina.
