Auckland’s Diverse Projects has completed an extensive refit on the 51m Damen Sea Axe superyacht support vessel Umbra, with the specialist management company pulling together a multi-disciplinary team to carry out the work.

DAMEN and AMELS have unveiled a new heli hangar option for the impressive 67-metre Sea Axe 6711 fast yacht support vessel. This is customised to the particular requirements of superyacht owners and finished to superyacht standards.
Diverse Projects is currently acting as owner’s representative on the 51m Damen Sea Axe superyacht support vessel UMBRA refit. The company will focus on ensuring Umbra’s seaworthiness and speed remain, after the extensive adjustments to her structure.
The 51,3m Damen Sea Axe shadow support yacht Umbra will undergo major upgrades at Oceania Marine’s North Shipyard, positioned in Port Whangarei, New Zealand. The project is scheduled for completion within the next three months.

As announced by Amels, the Damen 67m SEA AXE 6711 Fast Yacht Support vessel has recently completed its sea trials, reaching impressive speeds of over 22 knots. The vessel is due for delivery ahead of schedule, in January 2014.
The Fast Yacht Support vessel GARÇON, a Damen-built support vessel to an 87m luxury superyacht, has won the ISS Award of Distinction for Innovation. Sales and marketing of the Damen range of Yacht Support vessels is handled by Amels.
The second 67-metre Sea Axe 6711 Fast Yacht Support vessel has been successfully launched by Damen, following a huge success of the first Sea Axe 6711 Garçon, a support vessel to the impressive 87m Lurrsen superyacht ACE.

Qatari shipbuilder, Nakilat Damen Shipyards Qatar (NDSQ), is contracted to construct a new 69m fully customized superyacht support vessel entirely in Qatar. The contract was signed at a ceremony held in Doha, Qatar, on March 19.
