Construction of the first Caribbean series super yacht Matica is progressing well at the Moonen Shipyards in the Netherlands. The hull will be joined to the superstructure in the summer and the vessel is scheduled for completion in May 2016.
Moonen Shipyards has recently strengthened its sales team, following the orders for two superyachts of its new Caribbean series. Onno Laarhoven has been appointed as new Sales Manager.
Moonen Yachts will be present at the 2014 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. The event will feature such outstanding vessels by Moonen as luxury charter yacht Northlander.
Moonen Shipyards has proudly announced that they have received a new order for the Caribbean series super yacht MATICA. Due to be launched in the summer of 2016, she has been designed by Rene van der Velden, with interior design by Adam Lay Studio.

New Caribbean superyacht range has been introduced by Moonen from the Netherlands. There are six models available: the 85’ Mariana, the 100’ Montserrat, the 105’ Matica, the 112’ Mustique, the 120 ‘Martinique and the 126’ Marquis – all named after islands in the Caribbean.
The recent World Superyacht Awards 2014 was a huge success for the leading Dutch yards. Such outstanding vessels as Feadship mega yacht Madame Gu and Amels charter yacht Event have received the coveted Neptune trophy.
The superb 42m Moonen luxury yacht Sofia has received the judges’ commendation for displacement motoryacht below 500 GT at the recent World Superyacht Awards 2014.
Originally built by Moonen Yachts to a design by Rene van der Velden in 2007, the Moonen 84 superyacht Etoile d’Azur underwent a comprehensive refit at her home yard last year. Since then, she has enjoyed a new series of adventures in the Atlantic.

Moonen Shipyards will be present at the 2014 Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show, showcasing three luxury vessels. These will include the 42m superyacht SOFIA – the largest Moonen built to date.
