A former Japanese fisheries vessel will be converted into a luxury 45m explorer superyacht Cklass Nautique by the Philippines-based refit shipyard, HYS Yachts. Completion of the project is scheduled for mid February 2015.
Located within the former Subic US Naval Base in the Philippines, HYS Yachts – cited more and more frequently as the world leader in the highly specialized commercial to luxury yacht conversion niche – has seven successful conversions and nearly a dozen major refit projects currently under their belt.
Burgess Marine has been chosen by the Owner’s representatives to provide marine engineering expertise during the refit of the stunning 1938 superyacht Shemara of 64 metres.
The UK based ship repairer, Burgess Marine Ltd. offers its services, including both planned works and emergency support to Superyachts in the UK in 2012. Recently Burgess Marine has worked onboard the motor yacht Bystander, the sailing yacht Velsheda, the Hetairos superyacht, and the charter yacht Infinity as well as a 44m Feadship and a 64m Classic Motor Yacht.
The Philippine company HYS Yachts has converted the 55m luxury yacht Galapagos into the super yacht Ark Angel. The yacht has been refurbished for the third time and was also previously known as Tiara II, and originally as Taishu Maru yacht.
