The 8th China Guangzhou International Boat Show (GBS 2011) will be held from March 3rd to 5th, 2011. The show is expected to have 30,000 sqm, 600 exhibitors and 2,000 booths plus around 20,000 professional visitors and more than 100 global trade organizations participating.
Maritime Concept and Construction’s (MCC) new 46-meter motor yacht MAZU was just launched in China. Superyacht Mazu is the second yacht in the Marco Polo series, built at the Cheoy Lee Shipyard in China.

China plans to build a luxury superyacht marina in the northern city of Tianjin by the end of 2010. The new marina will cover an area of 900,000 square meters in Tianjin’s booming Binhai district and will have 750 berths to accommodate superyachts up to 92m (300ft).
The 2010 China Coast Regatta, running from 15-17 October 2010, organised by Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club have confirmed 45 boats in eight Divisions. Yachts range in size from the 75’ Reichel Pugh, Jelik III to a brand new fleet of J/80’s who will contest China Coast Regatta in the waters to the south east of Hong Kong Island.

IAG Yachts, a shipyard located in Zhuibai, China, has launched their first yacht the super yacht Primadonna. The 38.7 metre (IAG 127) yacht is the first of their Primadonna series and will be exhibited at the 2010 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October this year.
The Sunseeker Predator 108 Special Edition, the only Predator 108 special edition yacht ever made by Sunseeker completed its first cruise down the Huangpu River, Shanghai last month. The yacht is the most expensive yacht ever sold in China, priced at over 7 million GBP.
Camper and Nicholsons Marinas has taken a significant step into new markets with the award of a new contract from Luhuitou Tourism Development Co Ltd to design and commission the Sanya Serenity Marina. The marina will incorporate 350 berths, including superyacht berths up to 50m and will form part of a resort being designed by world renowned architects Chapman Taylor. It is due for completion in June 2011.
Palladium Technologies, Inc. has been awarded contracts for the new 42m Trimaran Motor Yacht Hang Tuah. This unique superyacht Hang Tuah was designed by John Shuttleworth Yacht Design, Ltd. and is being built by McConaghy Boats in Zhu Hai, China. Plans are to launch yacht Hang Tuah in early 2011 with her cruising grounds expected to be in the beautiful waters of Indonesia.
