Absolute Boat Care, a well known superyacht finishing service provider with permanent headquarters in STP Shipyard, Palma de Mallorca, has proudly announced its sponsorship of the inaugural Ibiza Rendezvous Superyacht Regatta. The event will be hosted by Marina Ibiza, a fantastic Ibiza yacht charter destination, from October 8 to 11, 2014.
In recent years Absolute Boat care have formed an international team with the ability to travel to other facilities in Europe, lending their skills and experience in paint, varnish, antifoul and polish to other businesses and shipyards that work to a similarly high standard. As part of their international program and in support of the superyacht industry, ABC will be a major sponsor at the very first end of season regatta in Ibiza: Ibiza Rendezvous.
The Ibiza Reunion is headed by Spike Thomson, founder of the SuperYacht Cup in Palma nearly twenty years ago.
Spike recently decided to go back to his sailing roots and put a team together to start this new regatta… but with a difference! This regatta not only has the sailing yacht classes but in the future will also invite motor yachts to be involved for the first time. Spike Thomson says: ‘The aim of this new event is to bring back the fun. The event will be pursuit racing and including superyachts and yachts from 20m plus.’
