Luxury charter yacht Reborn was originally built in 1999 by the Dutch Shipyard Amels and designed by Terrance Disdale, both interior and exterior. The new Owner wanted to make the yacht a complete refit, so she would become his own. This was achieved with the new birth of “Reborn” in 2010 designed by Sterling/Scott and lengthened by 5.5 meters by naval architects McFarlane Ship Design.

Boadicea, as she was originally named, was a mighty yacht and had been running efficiently across the seas for years with a family who loved her. As time passed, that same yacht had another chance with another family, who remodelled her and brought her into the 21st century, looking like a brand new yacht. She was lengthened, with a new sheer line, hull colour, window pattern, internal layout, sun-deck, swim-deck and benefiting waterline. This demonstrates that anything is possible and it is only the start of what lies ahead for the future of yachting.

She now features a double height living area, a reconfigured and updated Owner’s additional cabin with 180-degree views, not to mention other features. Externally the pool is now sunken, the mast is refined and modernized to reflect the yachts overall design, the hull is a light customized taupe selected together by the Owner’s wife with the help of the designer.

The family who bought luxury yacht Reborn believed in the designer and worked closely with her ideas ensuring they were portrayed into each sketch, profile or detailed drawing made prior to the work being carried out. Whilst the work was being done, both naval architect and designer in the best interest of the client supervised the project carefully.
