Marina dei Cesari, MDL’s new Italian marina, has been announced to host one of Italy’s most popular Jazz events, the Fano Jazz By The Sea event.
Israeli Transportation Ministry has announced their plans for a third marine to be built in Tel Aviv Port. The new marina will be a Luxury Marina able to accommodate 100 pleasure boats and is scheduled to be ready in two years.
AISSat-1 has been successfully launched from India on 12th of July 2010 by Kongsberg Seatex AS, and has already started transmitting AIS messages from space through Kongsberg Satellite Services ground station at Svalbard.
Andrew Cornish appointed MDL Marinas’ new Chief Executive, following Tony Keeler’s retirement in July. MDL Marinas are the largest marina owner and operator in Europe.
On the 7th July The Yacht Harbour Association organized an event where 41 members, including the British Marine Federation President Alan Morgan, met to see the spectrum of marina developments. The meeting was held in the Norfolk Broads.
TEAMORIGIN’s Ben Ainslie, and BMW ORACLE Racing’s James Spithill, will lead their teams contesting the 1851 Cup. Competition will take place on the historic waters of the Solent and around the Isle of Wight upon which a race won by the New York yacht America gave rise to the America’s Cup, the oldest trophy in the international sport. The 1851 Cup celebrates this event.

The 43.3 metre Burger Boat Company motor Yacht SEA OWL has been launched. The Tri-Deck SEA OWL MotorYacht has been custom designed and built for an experienced American yachting family. She was built in collaboration between the Burger Design Team, Vripack Engineering and Andrew Winch Design.
