Princess Yachts have announced very positive results for the year ended 31 December 2009, despite continued uncertainty in global economic conditions.
Princess yachts have reported an increased turnover of £213.8 million, up 3% from the previous year, driven by the continued investment in new product development and the establishment of new markets.
The new Sardinia marina is to have dedicated superyacht moorings and berth and there will be residential, retail and commercial facilities. Marina on Porto Arsena also provides for maxi sailing yachts and racing yachts, a design hotel of 120 rooms and suites, a medical spa of 3,500 square meters, a shopping gallery of 8,000 square meters, an area of 105 residential apartments and a conference center of 1,700 square meters.
Dorset-based Sunseeker Yachts has already invested more than GBP40 million into expanding its manufacturing facilities and product range to deliver yachts of up to 40 meters, and it has plans to extend to 50-meter yachts.

We will be supported by a broad consortium of world-class technical partners with extensive expertise in supporting critical missions of this scale and nature, and we expect 40 percent of the work for Iridium NEXT to be subcontracted to North America companies.”
