On the 30th of June 2010, the Knight & Carver Yacht Center in San Diego, California took delivery a superyacht dry dock called ‘Diligence’ for its refit and repair operations.

Ex presidential yacht Honey Fitz undergoing refit Built in 1931 by the Defoe Shipbuilding Company in Bay City, Michigan, motor yacht Honey Fitz is now undergoing a refit at Moores Marine in Florida as craftsmen return it to its former glory. John F. Kennedy named the Presidential yacht as “Honey Fitz Yacht”, after being elected as President of the United States of America in honour of his grandfather.

60 metre Superyacht Ruea Yachts Thailand

The first design to be released by Ruea is the Ruea 60-metre, featuring naval architecture by BMT Nigel Gee, which has worked on such projects as A and Dubai. Meanwhile, the design is the work of UK firm Design Unlimited. The twin screw diesel yacht will have 1,240 gross tonnage, and a beam of 10.5 metres. Her steel hull and alumimum superstructure will be Lloyd’s certified and the yacht will be built to MCA Large Yacht 2 code.

HMS Belfast to be Restored to her Former Glory

The veteran World War Two cruiser, HMS Belfast, is to have her rusting masts replaced courtesy of a former ally she fought to support – Russia. And Lloyd’s Register, one of the UK’s – and the world’s – leading marine institutions, has been asked to help out on the project by its Russian sponsors.

The 70m research vessel Golden Lion has just received a complete refit at the Balk Shipyard in the Netherlands. Golden Lion a three-masted topsail schooner has the work carried out to EU Directive 98/18 on safety rules and standards for passenger ships.

Testbank, a Southampton ship repairer has completed a 1 million GBP refit of megayacht SENSES. The 59,20m (194′ 2″) motor yacht SENSES spent 3 months at the Testbank Ship yard.
