Kingship Marine Limited hosted the superyacht Green Voyager’s keel laying ceremony at Kingship’s yard in Zhongshan on Tuesday 19 April 2011. Marina Tel Aviv, the shoreline centerpiece of Israel’s largest city and cultural capital, recently underwent a major renovation. Partnering with SF Marina, the marina replaced its old, dilapidated piers with a state-of-the-art floating concrete breakwater and docks. The project improved protection for moored boats, as well as the marina’s safety and appearance, while minimizing cost and maintenance.
At high water in the afternoon of Sunday 3 June 2012, up to a thousand boats muster on the River Thames in preparation for Her Majesty The Queen to lead the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant. It will be one of the largest flotillas ever assembled on the river. Rowed boats and working boats and pleasure vessels of all shapes and sizes will be beautifully dressed with streamers and Union Jacks, their crews and passengers turned out in their finest rigs.
The MYBA Charter Boat Show which runs from 2 to 6 May 2011 has secured extra dockage at Marina Fiera in Genoa where the October sales show is held. The extra dockage was needed due to an increasing number of yacht registrations for the Charter Show which is one of the most important international exhibitions dedicated to charter professionals and superyachts.
Peters & May, a leading global superyacht transportation provider has reported a significant growth in export volume for for both the UK & USA offices in the first three months of 2011. The company exported seven superyachts including 50m motor yacht Al Mirqab III and 40m yacht Garfield. In the same period the company transported 1164 yachts up to 30m and over 450 boats and yachts in March alone.

The Dutch yard Royal Huisman who is principally known as a builder of fine custom superyachts has undertaken refit work for many years, however after an in-depth study they are broadening their business model with ‘Huisfit’ a carefully planned expansion of its superyacht refit and repair business. The important strategic move will utilize a more efficient deployment of its human and physical resources over a wider range and a greater number of projects.
The 73m Motor yacht Sapphire was delivered by Nobiskrug yesterday and has just been sold making her the first yacht, more than 70m in length to be sold in 2011. Measuring 73.55 m (242 ft) superyacht Sapphire built under the hull number 781 boasts interior and exterior design by Newcruise Yacht Projects of Hamburg with build management by Kristal Walters.
