Cesme Marina now fully operational

Cesme Marina, jointly owned by IC Holding and Camper & Nicholsons Marinas, located on the beautiful Izmir Peninsula in the Aegean, is now fully operational and open for service.

Camper & Nicholsons Marinas is delighted to announce that – only eight months after ground breaking in October 2009 – this fantastic new, full service marina, situated on the west coast of Turkey is ready to welcome berth holders and visitors.

Voiles de Saint Barth: 4th to the 9th of April 2011.

The second edition of the Voiles de Saint Barth will take place between 4th and 9th April 2011. François Tolède and Luc Poupon, representing St. Barts Yacht Club, which organises the event, have just confirmed the dates after talks with competitors and the event’s partners. Following on from a magnificent first edition last April, this major date on the Caribbean racing calendar is now well established, and the aim is to make it even bigger.

Alloy Yachts launch Sailing yacht Imagine II

On Tuesday the 15th of June, Alloy Yachts christened the 44.2m sailing yacht Imagine.

This is the second Dubois designed Imagine Alloy Yachts has created, having built the first Imagine back in 1993. The team of Dubois Naval Architects and Alloy Yachts, working with the owner has created a high performance, superyacht with the technical sailing attributes of a much smaller racing machine.

Motor yacht BAYOU has pulled into Denis Conner’s North cove port in New York City . She has a distinctive blue hull, and carries an Amphicar. Built in 1964, this Amphicar has won several car shows. She is part car and part boat. You can literally drive down the ramp, turn the propellers on and motor away!

Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter Sea+City Waterfront Development for Rugby World Cup 2011

Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter waterfront is currently in the throes of development, with five new attractions on schedule for completion in 2011 – and the Rugby World Cup hosted by New Zealand. This latter major attraction will no doubt see a number of superyacht owners making their way to Auckland, New Zealand, in search of marina berth spaces to base themselves.

Testbank, a Southampton ship repairer has completed a 1 million GBP refit of megayacht SENSES. The 59,20m (194′ 2″) motor yacht SENSES spent 3 months at the Testbank Ship yard.

After examining submissions for a new Queensland Australia superyacht marinas and commercial developments near Sea World on the Gold Coast since February last year, the Bligh Government this week rejected all proposals so far, saying they were not up to scratch.

New Superyacht Dry Dock in US for Knight & Carver YachtCenter

The superyacht dry dock is named ‘Diligence’ and can accommodate yachts of up to 122m (400ft) in length and 30m (100ft) in width. It will be berthed at Knight & Carver’s docks, located on the southeast shores of San Diego Bay. Knight & Carver YachtCenter claims to have the largest lifting capacity (4,000-tonnes) for superyachts and commercial vessels on the US west coast — and one of the largest in the country.

Construction Begins on Porto Arsenal a New Superyacht Marina in Northern Sardinia

The new Sardinia marina is to have dedicated superyacht moorings and berth and there will be residential, retail and commercial facilities. Marina on Porto Arsena also provides for maxi sailing yachts and racing yachts, a design hotel of 120 rooms and suites, a medical spa of 3,500 square meters, a shopping gallery of 8,000 square meters, an area of 105 residential apartments and a conference center of 1,700 square meters.

Camper and Nicholsons Marinas to Create the Superyacht Sanya Serenity Marina in China

Camper and Nicholsons Marinas has taken a significant step into new markets with the award of a new contract from Luhuitou Tourism Development Co Ltd to design and commission the Sanya Serenity Marina. The marina will incorporate 350 berths, including superyacht berths up to 50m and will form part of a resort being designed by world renowned architects Chapman Taylor. It is due for completion in June 2011.

Motor yacht Princess Lauren lost and sunk after fire

The 71 foot Princess Lauren Yacht is a Complete Loss After Fire in the United States (Florida) – Fire crews put out a devastating fire that destroyed a multimillion-dollar yacht Princess Lauren at the Sunset Harbour Yacht Club in Daytona Beach, officials said Saturday. The Motor Yacht Princess Lauren listed to the left and was a complete loss, said Battalion Chief Dru Driscoll.
