Day 1 – Sail from Athens

Sailing from Athens to the spectacular Cyclades Islands is one journey you definitely shouldn’t miss out on. Step onboard a superyacht in Athens, near the port of Piraeus, meet the crew and captain, then off you go. Day 1 is usually a leisurely one spent at sea travelling towards Mykonos. It takes about six hours to reach this amazing old port.

Once the yacht has moored, disembark and explore the beautiful town or watch the sun set over the Little Venice quarter. Try one of the local exotic cocktails, Galleraki for instance, that many bars offer before returning to the vessel for a traditional Greek dinner.

Day 2 – Athens to Mykonos via Delos

There’s an ancient amphitheatre on the island of Delos which is steeped in Greek mythology as well as an interesting UNESCO World Heritage site. Before visiting this amphitheatre enjoy a breakfast on deck, then take a sightseeing tour of the old town on Delos.

After an hour or so on Delos you’ll sail to Ornos or Psarrou. The captain will drop anchor so you can spend the day on the yacht enjoying all of the facilities. Have lunch at the Nammos restaurant and beach club before relaxing and doing your own thing.

In the evening, the yacht will sail to Mykonos where you can dine in town. Squallo offers great views of the old harbour and the stunning yachts. It’s quite close to the yacht’s berth too, so not far to walk.

Day 3 – Mykonos

Day 3 brings you to Mykonos setting sail to the beautiful Kalo Livadi beach. This breath-taking beach has golden sand, crystal clear waters and dramatic cliffs towering in the background. After an al fresco breakfast in the Cyclades onboard your charter yacht, you can travel to a suitable swimming spot. Enjoy the warm waters or do a little sunbathing to top up your tan.

For those who love exploring, scooters are available to rent. The tender can take you to Kalo Livadi to try go-karting or disembark at Ornos, hop in a taxi and go shopping.

When you return to the old port in the evening, dine either on board or at one of the many sumptuous restaurants.

Day 4 – Mykonos to Paros

Near the Island of Paros lies Naoussa, a picturesque fishing village. It’s only about a two-hour sail away but definitely worth a visit to see its fishing boats and dine at one of the many cafes or restaurants. See if there are any octopuses hanging up to dry that the fishermen have caught or watch the friendly Greeks mend their nets.

Take lunch on board your charter yacht or try a local restaurant in the harbour. In the afternoon, chill out, explore the town or take the tender to Kolympithres beach close by.

If it’s nightlife, clubs and bars you’re looking for, Naoussa is an excellent place to head for. Let your hair down and dance the night away before returning to your yacht for a good night’s sleep.

Day 5 – Paros to Santorini

Fira in Santorini has gorgeous whitewashed houses and buildings with a backdrop of dramatic, sheer cliffs. Santorini is one of the most beautiful Greek Islands there is and visited by many people from all over the world.

Have a hearty breakfast overlooking the harbour of Naoussa which was once a Russian naval base in the 1700s. Then set sail for Santorini, just a few hours south.

Arriving at Fira, the main town here, just in time for lunch. Ask the crew to reserve a table at Katina’s in Ammoudi, it’s really good. Explore the town afterwards and take lots of photographs. The Sphinx restaurant is perfect for dinner with the opportunity to dance at the Enigma nightclub.

Day 6 – Santorini to Ios and Milos

After a delicious breakfast head for Magganari Beach on the south side of Ios Island. It’s an idyllic location and ideal if you want to spend a day in or out of the water. Try some of the superyacht’s fantastic water toys or just relax in the sun. Attentive crew will prepare lunch on board and as the sun sinks in the west, then it’s off to Milos and the port of Adamas.

Enjoy a gourmet dinner on board or go ashore to dine in one of the restaurants. Bars and clubs can be found if you fancy a night out or head back to the vessel to watch a movie.

Day 7 – Milos to Kleftiko and Hydra

Cruise to some lovely swimming spots on the south west of the island to the town of Kleftiko. Here there are lots of secluded caves, some of which can be sailed into on the yacht’s tenders.

Set sail to Hydra after lunch, a picturesque island with plenty of nightlife. As it takes several hours at sea to get to Hydra, sit on board, relax and watch as the scenery changes. Go ashore for dinner then take a stroll among the bars and cafes.

Day 8 – Hydra to Athens

The last day brings you back to Athens via Aegina where the amazing Temple of Aphaea is situated. Arriving at O’Rama’s home port of Agios Kosmas in the afternoon it’s time to disembark after enjoying eight days of relaxation, adventure and exploration.
