Yachting Seasons & Climate:
Commonly visited northern European luxury yacht charter destinations include Greenland and Norway, both of which have a cold humid environment. Greenland reaches temperatures around 0°C/30°F in the winter and 9°C/48°F in the summer months, with Norway a few degrees warmer.
Southern Europe is much warmer than the north and receives less rainfall per annum. Summer months are characterised by temperatures hovering around the mid-to-late 20s(°C)/70s(°F) and little rainfall, while eastern countries of Greece, Croatia, Montenero and Turkey experience even greater temperatures and drier conditions.
Clothing to Pack for Your Charter:
Dress warm and use layers for Northern European destinations, taking a wind and waterproof coat as well as a hat and gloves for the coldest months. To the south, free-flowing breathable clothing such as cotton and linen blends are recommended for late spring through to late autumn, with a layer to keep off the wind and for cooler evenings. Winter in the south is also not as cold, and visitors will be able to wear jumpers without coats on clement, rain-free days.

Late spring – early autumn; Visit before or after the July-August school holidays to avoid the crowds at their heaviest. However, heat-lovers will want to visit at the height of summer, when there is also the most daylight hours and there are plenty of peaceful locations to anchor your superyacht.
