PROJECT BOREAS

The 50m/164ft all-aluminium superyacht PROJECT BOREAS was constructed on speculation in 2017 with a launch date set for 2019. Her exterior styling is the work of Omega Architects with naval architecture from Van Oossanen Naval Architects and is based on the NOVA PLUS platform and is a sistership to motor yacht HOME. The interior design was created by Mark Whiteley, who worked closely with the yacht’s owner.
The accommodation will sleep 12 guests over five en-suite cabins, with a crew of nine for expert service.

EXTERIOR

A helm station has been added to the flybridge to allow the Owner, an experienced sailor, to pilot the yacht himself. Smaller overhangs were also requested in the design stage to allow more light into the interiors, plus outdoor seating in front of the helm station to allow the crew to relax in the open air. 

INTERIOR

The interiors from Mark Whiteley Design have contemporary styling and comfort. The sky lounge features windows that open for greater connection to the natural environment.

Twin MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines producing 1,080 kW each allow for a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, at which motor yacht PROJECT BOREAS has a range of 3,750 nautical miles. With fuel consumption of just 98 litres an hour without including generators, she has impressive fuel efficiency for a superyacht of 50 metres with a 499 GT and 320-ton displacement.
