ASAHI

Sailing yacht ASAHI (ex RIELA) is a 2009, 56 meter Perini Navi / Ron Holland ketch superyacht. This impressive sailing yacht is the work of Ron Holland (known for many large sailing yachts) and Perini Navi’s in house naval architecture. She represents a departure from some earlier Perini Navi yachts with her ultra-light and more performance orientated streamlined full aluminum hull.

The very impressive interior of the yacht is from the design board of Remi Tessier. ‘Elegant luxury’ is the effect as blended with a natural and contemporary theme. This has been very successfully accomplished with the employment of a wide and rich variety of precious and refined materials. Interesting woods such as Macassar, ebony, wengè, teak – as well as complimentary texture created by leather – make for a natural and soothing feel.

Sailing Yacht Asahi is the seventh superyacht of the highly successful and polished 56m sailing yacht series. Other famous Perini Navi 56 m sailing yachts include Burrasca (the first launched in 2003), Santa Maria (now Zenji), Rosehearty, Selene, Salute and Silvana.

She has a large volume and an extensive sundeck/flybridge platform from which to survey the surroundings, entertain and sunbath.

Providing both excellent sailing performance and delightful comfort sailing yacht ASAHI has size, style, functionality and performance. She is able to accommodate up to 12 people in 3 double and 3 twins, fully ensuite cabins. This includes a full beam owner’s suite with a king-sized bed, two VIP cabins with queen beds, two twin bed cabins and a further cabin with over and under bunks.

The superyacht’s masts are 58.8m (mainmast) and 48.26m (mizzen) tall. They are constructed from aluminum, while the automatic furling boom is made from carbon fiber. Her total sail area is around 1,500 m².
