Superyacht ENIGMA (ex Phocea) was one of the most admired sailing yachts in the World. Measuring 75,15m (246′ 6″), she was as massive as she was luxurious. With her sleek and elegant lines, she turned heads wherever she went. She was accommodating up to 12 guests in 6 beautiful cabins.

S/Y ENIGMA was built at the Toulon Naval Dockyard in 1976 for the well-reputed, single-handed yachtsman Alain Colas. Originally built purely for speed, she has been redesigned and transformed into a luxury sailing yacht. She was extensively rebuilt and refitted in 1983-’86 in Marseille, France and again rebuilt and refitted in 1997/2000 at Lürssen, Germany. Her last major refit was in 2006 at MB’92, Barcelona, Spain.

While she retained her unmistakable identity, she has benefited from the major interior and exterior upgrading throughout with interior design by Joerg Beiderbeck & Tim Heywood. The interior boasted spectacular living and accommodation areas with beautiful wood paneling, exquisite furniture, and tasteful decorations. Along with the entrance hall, massive main salon and separate dining area, ENIGMA also offered a gymnasium, a sauna and beauty facilities.

ENIGMA’s outdoor areas are equally impressive, especially when the sails are hoisted. There were a large al fresco dining table and plenty seating areas.
