SONNY III

Built by American shipyard Brooklin Boat Yard and launched in 2018, 28m/921ft sailing yacht SONNY III is part of the Custom 91 series and is constructed from a cold-moulded laminated wooden hull. Her design and naval architecture come courtesy of Bruce Johnson. The accommodation sleeps up to six guests over three en-suite cabins.

EXTERIOR

Above deck, the canvas-shaded cockpit provides guests with a spacious outdoor lounging and alfresco dining area, and to the aft, a second cockpit beside the helm station connects down to the twin cabin accommodation. The stern has a transom swim platform, and the bow is left clear for guests to use for sunbathing, exercise and observation.

INTERIOR

Designed for an Owner with limited mobility, the interiors are designed with wheelchair access in mind and a chair lift provides convenient access to the accommodation, salon and exterior cockpit.

The classic interior has an abundance of lighting as well as skylights for natural illumination, and behind the helm station, there is a C-shaped seating area around a circular formal dining table, which is inlaid with a compass design. A sofa on the starboard side adds another place for guests to spread out, unwind and socialise.
