Dijkstra-Designed 45m Superyacht for adventurous luxury holidays

Yacht Gweilo is a 45m (150′) luxury two-masted schooner designed by the prestigious studio of Gerard Dijkstra – Dykstra Naval Architects in 2009. She accommodates up to 6 guests in 3 cabins.

Luxury yacht Gweilo was constructed in Turkey and built in wood, rather than aluminium. She features a slab reef sailing system with Park Avenue type booms. Pro-Sail project managed the construction of her mast, booms and bow spirt at Formula Yacht Spars Superyacht mast facility in the Netherlands.

She has classical lines, as well as a traditional style rig and long keel which make her very comfortable under sail. Her decks are spacious, and comprise comfortable sun beds on both the aft deck and coach-roof. There is an alfresco dining area in the cockpit which includes an expandable table that seats up to 9 guests, a small drinks fridge and an ice maker.

Her interior is smooth and comfortable, panelled in dark woods with rich fabrics. The main salon comprises a central rotatable TV so that guests can view it either from the L shaped sofa, the armchairs or the oval dining table.

Gweilo is a sistership to the successful schooner ‘Windrose’. She is RINA classified and LY2 compliant under the Cayman Island Flag.

She cruises at speed of 11 knots with top speed of 16 knots.
