PUMULA

Sailing yacht PUMULA (Project BUGAMENA) is a Royal Huisman built, stunning 37.33 m (125’5”) Classic Cutter, with a formal launch date in 2012. Naval architects at Dykstra & Partners are responsible for her wonderful design with many traditional features and nostalgic references. PUMULA superyacht’s interior on the other hand, has been designed by the well known Rhoades Young design studio.

Sailing Yacht PUMULA features two low profile teak-clad deckhouses on a clean, open deck above a sensitively sheered hull with an elegant transom stern. There is a secluded owner’s cockpit behind the aft deckhouse, complemented by a comfortable on-deck dining area between the helm and the main deckhouse. Underwater, a fully ballasted and retractable bulb keel will marry performance with shoal draft cruising.

In addition to the Owners accommodation there are two twin guest cabins as well as 1 double flex cabin forward for guests or a crew. All of them are created with immaculate attention to detail, providing everyone with utmost in comfort.

Pumula yacht’s crew is accommodated on two cabins, including one double cabin for the Captain and his wife as well as one additional twin crew cabin.

Interior designers Rhoades Young have succeeded in creating an environment below decks that is evocative of an earlier era yet offers a fresh, light and stimulating interpretation rather than a formal homage. A theme of bleached oak joinery, finished to emphasise the texture of the grain and the figuring of the wood, contrasts with darker oak flooring and white-painted panelling and deck-heads to create an intimate, almost contemporary styling.
