Project YS 7512

Support yacht model YS 6512 from Damen Yachts, who also created her naval architecture, measures 75m/246ft and is constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure for cruising to the farthest reaches of the world, and has the facilities to be used as a research and nature conservation vessel as well as for luxury travel.
There is a spacious beam of 12.6m/41ft that offers generous space for on deck and interior storage for water toys and vehicles, with a D-value 14 hangar and helideck for convenience. The draft comes to 4m/13ft and the total interior volume comes to 1,900 GT. The accommodation provides for up to 40 pax, with a crew of at least 31 and additional staff, specialists or guests making up the remainder on board. Delivery is in 2022.

EXTERIOR

The foredeck can be used for observation, with the space behind the helm station used for storing a tender.
Behind, the upper deck amidships has plenty of space for storing additional tenders, submersibles and land vehicles, while to the aft there is a raised certified helideck capable of holding up to 5,000kg, below which is the hangar for safe storage during transit. The main deck aft leads down to the lower deck where there is easy access to the tender or the water for dive operations.

INTERIOR

In addition to the indoor storage for vehicles and water toys as well as the accommodation, there is onboard an ocean preservation lab and sample store, plus additional offices with four workstations to keep everything organized. There is also a dive centre and a mission control centre for the deep-sea robotics system.

The engines provide a top speed of 18 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
