GEMS II

The 41 metre superyacht GEMS II (ex taTii) was designed, built and launched by Tamsen Yachts in 2009 and refitted in 2021 and 2022. This well conceived and cleverly laid out motor yacht is available for luxury yacht charters in the Mediterranean and elsewhere, and she can accommodate up to 12 charter guests in 5 cabins.

Yacht GEMS II has been specifically designed (with naval architecture and exterior design by Heiner Tamsen) to have an extra wide beam to accommodate an innovatively larger and more spacious inside living area. M/Y GEMS II is a Tri-deck motor yacht with an additional intermediate wheelhouse deck and three spacious outside areas on her three decks: main, upper and forward. The raised main deck on the forecastle is the third multi-functional area on board, with a Spa Pool, sunbathing area, easy style dining. In addition, the generous area above the swimming platform is perfect for sunbathing.

Also, to enjoy the sun, sky and water while cruising these elements of coastline, seascape and scenery are made visible and almost ‘present’ within the yacht. This is due to her large lateral panorama windows and skylights which flood the main saloon with sunshine and accentuate the feeling of being outdoors.

The yacht has sophisticated contemporary internal living areas were designed by Julia Tamsen and they showcase custom made furniture, delicate cashmere, cool leather and ultra soft wool carpets. The progressively designed saloon with its two lounges, a bar and office makes for ultimate living at sea, a spacious dining table on the aft deck can be converted into a lounge table. Superyacht GEMS II ‘s has art installations and her the fixed furniture appears to be floating.

GEMS II ‘s upper deck comprises of the upper sun deck and convertible sly lounge and a large open air area can be created by retracting the large sunroof. Lateral panorama windows accentuate the feeling of being outdoors. Unrivalled views while dining, relaxing in the sun, watching TV or having a drink at the bar.

One of several interesting design highlights for yacht taTii includes her extra spacious master suite, which iss positioned up on the main deck for extra space and light. The owner or master suite is essentially a self-contained apartment including an office, a sitting area with plasma screen TV, a private bar, a king-size bed and three walk-in wardrobes. The indirect lighting in this area is subtle and the light flooded bathroom with wide panorama windows is a wellness temple that leaves nothing to be desired. The scale of the bathtub, as indeed the scale of the whole boat, is one of intimacy and cosiness.
