56.1m/184.1ft luxury yacht TACANUYA (Ex Intrepid, Swiftship, Defiance, M.D. Tacanuya) was built by Swiftships in 1992 and last refitted in 2018 with interior styling by Alberto Pinto and Koutoukos. The contemporary interiors use a neutral earthy palette with golden lighting and silvery accents in the fixtures and fittings to create a homely atmosphere suited to long cruises using the 4,500 nautical miles range. The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests and five staff, and a crew of 14 for first-class service throughout the cruise.

EXTERIOR

The main deck aft has a wet bar to starboard, a table and four chairs central for drinks and casual meals, and a sofa and coffee table along the stern.

The upper deck aft has sofa seating lining the stern and accompanied by coffee tables for drinks and conversation. The foredeck has two sofas and sunbeds in front of the helm station, while the bow section is used for the storage of the water toys and tenders.

The sundeck aft is also used for storing the tenders and water toys, and amidships guests have an alfresco dining table and sofa seating under the shade of the hardtop. Forward in the sunshine there is a raised Jacuzzi and sunbeds, which can be covered by a canvas to provide some shade.

INTERIOR

The lower deck layout hosts the guest and crew accommodation, along with the engine room and storage for the water toys.

On the main deck, the Master suite is forward, followed by the main foyer and the galley and lastly the main salon. In the main salon, the forward area has a more casual ambiance and acts as a ‘media centre’, with forward and aft facing sofas placed around a coffee table and a widescreen TV aft acting as a room divider. The larger portion of the room behind has a symmetrical setting of two armchairs, four side tables and an armchair plus a foot stool on both sides of the room, creating a comfortable setting for guests of all ages to spend the hours.

The upper deck has the bridge controls forward with a sofa for guests to sit and watch the changing scenery. The Captain’s cabin and foyer are behind, then the skylounge aft. Within, there is a wet bar to port, a widescreen TV mounted on the forward wall and a sofa and armchairs around a coffee table to starboard. Further aft, the formal dining area is surrounded by glass to create a winter garden setting for all seasons and any weather.

Twin Caterpillar engines provide a maximum speed of 17 knots, a cruising speed of 15 knots and a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles.

On the main deck, the Master suite is situated forward and has a king-sized bed with a widescreen TV opposite, a desk/vanity, office, wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with two sinks, a toilet, bathtub and shower.
In the VIP stateroom, there is a queen-sized bed with a widescreen TV opposite, a desk/vanity, wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower.
~ The twin cabins are located on the lower deck and all have two single beds, a widescreen TV, storage and an en-suite bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. Three of the twin cabins also have a Pullman berth suitable for a child.
~ The talented crew of 14 will keep all guests entertained and everything running at peak efficiency throughout the cruise.
