Motor yacht HELGA is a striking, modern 26m Raised Pilot House yacht by the Van Der Valk shipyard with exterior and interior design by Guido de Groot Design. EXTERIOR

The main deck aft is fitted with a sofa, raised table and additional movable chairs to seat the whole group to an alfresco meal in the shade. Two stairways connect to the swim platform below, and a port stairway leads to the flybridge. Side walkways lead around to the foredeck, where there is a loveseat and a stairway leading up to the broad sunbed area in front of the raised pilothouse.

The flybridge has room for storing a tender or motorised water toys along the stern, to be safely launched and retrieved using the Davit crane. There is a bar forward of the tender, and amidships is the alfresco dining and lounging area consisting of a loveseat and side tables to port and a forward-facing L-shaped sofa and coffee table to starboard. The helm controls are forward to port, with an additional sunpad in front.

INTERIOR

The lower deck hosts the guest and crew accommodation, with the crew accommodation in the bow, the guest accommodation behind, then the engine room and finally the tender garage and water toys storage in the stern.

The main deck places the galley forward, followed by the main foyer and salon. This latter environment is fitted with a sofa and armchairs on the port side, creating a C-shaped social area around a coffee table. There is a widescreen TV opposite, and glass sliding doors lead out onto the main deck aft.

In the raised pilothouse, the helm controls are forward and behind along the port and aft walls is a corner sofa and elevated table for dining together as a family in a light-filled environment.

The twin MTU 12V 2000M 96L engines give a top speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 23 knots.
