KAMALAYA

The breath-taking superyacht KAMALAYA is a 55-metre Limited Editions Amels 180 displacement vessel, launched by the respected Dutch builder Amels in 2013. Luxury motor yacht KAMALAYA is designed by award-winning Tim Heywood and has an interior design from Remi Tessier. She accommodates a maximum of 10 guests over 5 en-suite cabins and has a crew of 13 for impeccable onboard service.

EXTERIOR

Guests arriving by tender will disembark onto the spacious swim platform, and abroad staircase to port and starboard leads to the casual lounge on the main deck aft, where armchairs for eight guests surround coffee tables.

The upper deck aft is furnished with an elegant alfresco dining table and a wet bar beneath the sundeck overhang, and two curving sofas coupled with circular drinks tables form a casual alfresco lounge along the aft balustrades.

The foredeck has sunpads in front of the windows, and along the bow there is storage for the tenders with a Davit crane for easy launch and retrieval.

Above, the sundeck has a touch-and-go helipad above the wheelhouse that can instead be laid out with sun loungers for the group to rest after an alfresco meal. Amidships and forward is a massive circular sundeck Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, and beneath the shade of the hardtop there is a wet bar and alfresco dining area. The aft is furnished with a dual sofa which has seating facing forward and to stern for magnificent uninterrupted views.

INTERIOR

The lower deck hosts the majority of the guest accommodation, with three VIP staterooms as well as seven crew cabins and water toys storage in the stern.

On the main deck, the Master suite is placed forward with a twin cabin behind. The galley and crew service corridor is placed port of the main foyer and connects through to the formal dining area, which is placed forward within the open-plan main salon. The formal dining area seats up to 10 guests and has sliding glass doors to the side which leads to fold-down terraces. The salon creates two conversational areas by placing a sofa and two armchairs around a coffee table to port, and four armchairs around a coffee table to starboard.

The helm station is located forward on the upper deck, behind which is the Captain’s cabin followed by the sky lounge, where broad windows allow for 180 views of the surroundings.

A pair of 1,408 HP MTU engines allows for a maximum speed of 15.5 knots, a cruising speed of 13 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
