ILLUSION V

Motor yacht ILLUSION V (ex.ILLUSION I, FB257) is a spectacular example of craftsmanship from Italy-based superyacht builders Benetti. Launched in 2014, she has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure totalling a length of 58m/190ft. Benetti in-house designers Green & Mingarelli created her sophisticated interiors and exteriors that flow perfectly from one area to the next. The accommodation sleeps up to 12 guests across 6 cabins.

EXTERIOR

Guests arriving by tender will board via a large swim platform at the stern, which in turn leads to a spacious beach club with an elegant black and white bar. Here guests will first encounter the subtle rose motif that decorates the furnishings and walls across the decks of M/Y ILLUSION V, both inside and out.

An interior set of stairs leads up to the main deck aft, where the broad sofa near the stern is surrounded by vegetation for greater privacy and a more natural outdoor living environment.

A bar is situated close to the sliding door to the main salon and there is an excellent selection of drinks, or alternatively guests can use the bar on the upper deck aft and savour the perfect complement to a meal at the massive glass tabletop dining table, which seats up to 12 guests.

After dining, guests can choose to remain nearby and sink into the plush sofas along the stern, or watch the world go by from the curved sunpad seating on the foredeck.

An alternative alfresco dining area is available in the shade amidships of the sundeck, while there is a row of sun loungers to the aft and a bar and barbeque grill in the sunshine on the sundeck forward. A sun-drenched seating area and a raised Jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads with optional sun umbrellas complete the high quality outdoor amenities.

INTERIOR

The lower deck layout places the beach club in the stern followed by the tender garage and the engine room amidships. Farther forward, a full-beam VIP stateroom benefits from a large en-suite with its own tub, and the bedroom is large enough to include a lounge. Two spacious double cabins and twin cabins are also located on this deck, each with en-suite facilities. Crew accommodation is fitted in the bow, with additional services on the tank deck.

The Master suite commands a forward position on the main deck and as well as a his and hers bathroom, there are walk-in wardrobes. A Master office/cinema is also attached and creates privacy between the bedroom and the corridor.

Following on from the main foyer, where there is a day-head for visitors, the open-plan main salon is an impressive open-plan environment which if filled with various seating areas so that guests and visitors can mingle and engage in separate conversations.

A rose decal bar is placed against the forward wall and full-height windows on either side ensure guests have excellent views of the scenery while enjoying a cocktail.

Four sofas are placed around a large coffee table at the centre of the room, while near the aft sliding doors there is a glass table and six soft white chairs for dining or working on hobbies in excellent natural lighting.

The upper deck forward contains the helm-station and the captain’s quarters, while beside the foyer there is a TV room for entertaining the children during special events. Behind, the skylounge is even more glamorous than the main salon. There is a dining area designed to seat six and the bar opposite uses a grander flower motif for a more imposing presence within the room. Three copious sofas create enough seating for coffee mornings or group conversations throughout the day, while guests take in the views on both sides as well as to the stern.
