ERICA

Luxury yacht ERICA (ex.PROJECT BOREAS) from Heesen was built on speculation in 2017 and launched in 2019. Constructed entirely out of aluminium, she has an LOA of 50m/164ft, with naval architecture from Van Oossanen, exterior styling from Omega Architects and interiors by Mark Whiteley who worked closely with the Owner to produce a personalised contemporary environment. The accommodation is designed to sleep a maximum of 12 guests over six bright and comfortable en-suite cabins, serviced by a professional crew of nine to ensure that everything runs smoothly throughout every journey.

EXTERIOR

The exterior profile has a modern plumb bow and dark grey hull and superstructure for an imposing and stately appearance. The Owner also specifically requested smaller overhangs to allow more sunlight into the interior.

The lower deck swim platform is a broad and deep space close to the water for entertaining, relaxation and easy boarding to and from the tenders. Sun umbrellas are placed in the aft corners to shade sunbathers, who also have access to the main deck aft corner sofas via the wide central stairway.

On the upper deck, a sofa lines the stern with additional seating and drinks tables for casual dining while taking in the surroundings.

The flybridge is shielded at the front to provide a semi-enclosed lounging and dining area that also has a forward helm station where the experienced Owner can steer M/Y ERICA.

INTERIOR

Mark Whiteley Design produced the contemporary interiors in consultation with the Owner, and one of the distinguishing features aboard superyacht ERICA is the windows that open in the sky lounge for a more alfresco living environment.

A pair of MTU 12V 2000 M72 engines create 1,080 kW each to produce a maximum speed of 20 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 3,750 nautical miles. The fuel consumption is efficient at only 98 litres an hour without including generators.
