CALLIOPE

Built by Numarine and launched in 2018 and refitted in 2024, the 32.5m/107ft expedition yacht CALLIOPE is the second hull in the shipyard’s 32XP series and is constructed from a steel hull and GRP superstructure. A beautiful pale metallic blue hull and dark windows create an eye-catching modern appearance, and the light off-white superstructure balances her colour contrast. The interior and exterior styling is the work of Can Yalman and her accommodation sleeps up to 10 guests over five en-suite cabins and a crew of five.

EXTERIOR

A swim platform and boarding plank extend out from the lower deck for sunbathing beside the water and quick bathing, with two sets of stairs connecting to the main deck. Along the stern, there is an extensive sunbed and a sofa in front for alfresco dining in comfort at the raised table, and there is a forward bar for casual drinks and breakfast in the shade.

The upper deck aft is accessed via a starboard stairway on the main deck aft, and the area is used to store a 9m/29.5ft tender with room for two jet skis that will be launched and retrieved using a davit crane.

The foredeck has a sun-drenched C-shaped sofa and raised table in front of the bridge while the bow is fitted with two large sunpads against either side of the gunwales, leaving a central corridor clear.

On the sundeck there is a central forward helm station with additional seating on either side. A square alfresco dining table to seat 12 is placed centre with a starboard wet bar ideally placed to serve guests throughout the meal or while resting on the three sofas around the coffee table to the aft.

INTERIOR

The high-quality interiors are furnished by brands Missoni Home, B&B Italia and Tom Dixon with materials including marbles, a variety of wood, leather and brass.

The lower deck hosts the majority of the accommodation with two VIP staterooms and two twin cabins with en-suite facilities for guests that provide 85m²/915ft² of living space. The guest accommodation is also on this floor and consists of a Captain’s cabin and two double-sized cabins for the crew, all with en-suite facilities.

On the main deck, there is a full-beam Master suite forward that contains a desk beside the port window, a sofa to starboard, his and hers bathroom with shared shower and a widescreen TV on the aft wall. In the main foyer area, there is a day head and a gym on the starboard side, with the galley to port with convenient access to the formal dining area within the open-plan main salon. To the aft, there is a spacious area with a diagonal sofa making efficient use of the space.

On the upper deck behind the bridge, the sky lounge is a lavish environment for entertaining with a forward bar, L-shaped sofa and a games table with fresh air streaming in from the aft sliding doors.

The engines provide a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at an economical 9 knots.
