One of the most popular Caribbean yacht charter destinations – Grenada has decided to invest a US$375,000 (approximately £236,250) grant from CARTfund into the development as well as expansion of the country’s marine and yachting sector.

Anita Sutton, president of Grenada’s Marine and Yachting Association says “Grenada as a yachting destination is one of the best kept secrets of the Caribbean and it is time for the secret to be revealed.”

Additionally, Grenada is investing in other improvements, including the training and certification of yacht maintenance and technical staff. As well as the security protocol to maintain Grenada’s reputation as the safest yachting destination in the Caribbean. Grenada will also take measures to streamline the clearance requirements for yachts travelling between Grenada and St Vincent.
