World’s Largest Sailing Yacht SOLAR Project by Oceanco

Measuring 106 meters in length over all, the exciting mega yacht SOLAR project is presently under construction at the prestigious Dutch builder, OCEANCO. Designed by Nuvolari & Lenard, the 2015 Solar is set to become the world's largest sailboat, once launched.

The leading Dutch builder, OCEANCO, is currently working on the impressive 106 m sailing yacht SOLAR project. Due to be launched in 2015, Solar superyacht project is expected to become the largest sailboat in the world. At the moment, the yard has six luxury vessels in build, all measuring above 80 meters in LOA.

Luxury mega yacht Solar project represents not only the company’s largest project, but it is also an environmentally friendly project. Once constructed, Solar will be powered mainly by solar energy.

To be fitted with a Dyna Rig System, the 106-metre Solar yacht project will be the largest luxury vessel ever constructed in the Netherlands, once launched. Featuring naval architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects, the project has been designed by prestigious Italian design studio, Nuvolari & Lenard.

Acquired by Mohammed Al Barwani in 2010, Oceanco has grown in the past few years. The company is continuously investing in new facilities, new concepts as well as new architectural drawings and renderings.
