The Dutch luxury yacht builder, Wim van der Valk Continental Yachts, is delighted to announce that it has recently appointed the Stathelle-based Thor R. Nilsen as its new distributor in Norway.
Thor R. Nilsen AS was established in 1979 by mr. Thor R. Nilsen. Thor’s history goes back to the year 1968 as a Volvo Penta engineer who started his own marina / Volvo Penta dealership in 1979. The company nowadays represents a number of strong brands (Targa Boats, Grand Banks and Linssen). “With the Wim van der Valk brand our range will be complete and we now have yachts to offer to our most demanding customers”, according Mr. Thor R. Nilsen.

According to Wim van der Valk’s managing director, Mr. Patrick Lankhuizen, the motivation for the collaboration is more than just to have a good representative in Norway. “Thor R. Nilsen has got the complete package, such as: 110t crane, (Volvo Penta) service centre, winter storage etc., to provide our existing and new clients the best possible after-sales services.”
