One interesting new feature is the Fleet Tracker page, showing in real time where the Js are in the world, so long as they have their AIS trackers switched on. It is actually possible to follow the yacht’s track during a race, showing speed and direction.

Velsheda superyacht and luxury charter yacht Shramrock V are competing in the Voiles de St Tropez regatta this week and fans can follow Velsheda’s progress using this page. To get a yacht track, it is advised to click on the yacht and click “Show Vessel’s Track”.

Further features will be added to the website during the Autumn.

In addition to the growing popularity of the supporters’ club, the J Class YouTube channel is proving very popular, including a video documentary of Terry Brabant’s Velsheda restoration. With lots of historical footage, the video is well worth watching.

For a subscription of £18, supporters get at least four J Class newsletters each year, an A2 poster, 15% off J Class products, access to the supporters’ forum, and an exclusive J Class lapel badge.
