Rockport Marine has recently completed the three-year restoration of the 83ft sailing yacht Adventuress. Relaunched at Marine Park on Saturday 21 July, the Adventuress superyacht is an 88-year-old schooner, constructed by Fife and Son at the Fife Yard in Fairlie, Scotland in 1924.

The Adventuress superyacht arrived at Rockport Marine in 2009. Updated with modern navigation, she also boasts a new interior as well as rig.
83-feet overall, luxury yacht Adventuress was originally built as a Bermudian schooner. She has a lively history, including being seized and used by the Germans as a patrol boat in World War II. Towards the end of the war she was scuttled at the entrance of Ville Franche sur Mer, where she remained for several years. When she was raised, she was rigged as a ketch. She has spent almost her entire life in continuous service.

1924 William Fife superyacht Adventuress will be on display at the Fife Rendezvous in Castine on Wednesday 1 August; the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta in Brooklin on August 4; Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show in Rockland from August 10-12 and the Newport International Boat Show in Newport, R.I., from September 13-16.
