June 26 saw the impressive 147m motor yacht TOPAZ, built by the respected German shipyard Lurssen, undergo sea trials. Boasting a full displacement steel hull and lighter aluminium superstructure, the Topaz superyacht is the second largest vessel completed by Lurssen, following the 155m megayacht AL SAID – the third largest vessel in the world. Soon the order will change, as the prestigious shipyard is currently working on the ‘largest yacht in the world’ to be – the 180m Nauta Yachts designed mega yacht Project Azzam.

Lurssen superyacht Topaz is presumed to accommodate a total number of 12 guests in 6 or more staterooms, providing her guests with a helicopter landing facility, tender garages and swimming pools, as it is normally expected from a luxury vessel of this size.
