Two Ron Holland Designs, superyacht Christopher and sailing yacht Panthalassa are among the finalists of the “Best Sail – 40m+” category of the International Superyacht Society Awards 2011 (ISS). The winners of the International Superyacht Society Awards 2011 will be announced at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in October.
Sailing yacht Christopher is a 46m ketch, built by Pendennis in Falmouth, UK in partnership with Ron Holland Design and Palm Beach Yachts International.
Ron Holland’s brief for yacht Christopher was to design a yacht combining classic style with the most advanced sailing technology. Below the waterline, twin rudders and an extraordinarily deep centreboard, which increases draught from 12ft 6ins to more than 31ft, dramatically enhance sailing performance.
S/Y Christopher made her first appearance at St. Barth’s Bucket Regatta in the Spring of 2011 where her imposing red chilli spinnaker made a bold statement over Gustavia.

S/Y Panthalassa is a 56m ketch, that is the eighth in the very successful Perini Navi /Ron Holland Design 56m series superyachts and features many important innovations.
The Panthalassa yachts’ hull lines have been optimised in order to further sailing performance. The aluminium superstructure is totally new and marked by a more racy and aerodynamic line than the earlier 56m designs and Panthalassa’s spacious interior has been designed by Foster and Partners.
