As a result, yacht owners will be able to use their BroadBEAM FLEX VSAT service in all major cruising areas, including “off the beaten track” destinations like the Pacific Ocean, the Maldives and Asia, and benefit from uninterrupted high-speed internet connectivity at sea, irrespective of geographical location.

Using the latest iDirect® Evolution DVB-S2 technology, the BroadBEAM FLEX VSAT service has been specifically designed to provide top-quality connectivity for yachts. It now combines the service’s proven performance with a near-global connectivity with full Automatic Beam Switching and Beam Redundancy features.

OmniAccess’ BroadBEAM FLEX VSAT service is the world’s most flexible maritime service of its kind, as it is available as a “shared” service with a low contention ratio of 5:1 or a fully dedicated service with a contention-ratio of 1:1. Once launched, it will be offered in speeds ranging from 512/128 kbps to 3072/512 kbps, and a guaranteed core network availability of 99.2% is offered. Industry-leading technical support from a highly qualified and experienced support team comes as standard.

Carlos Carbajal, Managing Director Yacht Services at OmniAccess, said: “Our new BroadBEAM FLEX VSAT is now available in all corners of the globe and offers increased resilience against blind-spots and adverse weather conditions, meaning that we can offer an unrivalled service with optimum connectivity at all times. We have many years of experience in the field of wireless network technologies and the expansion of this service is the latest addition to our extensive portfolio of cutting-edge services and products, which we provide to some of the world’s most impressive yachts.”

OmniAccess offers a unique “month to month” service plan meaning that there is no need to commit to the service long-term, and it comes complete with a clearly written Service Level Agreement and a personalised DashBOARD® Customer Support Portal subscription that allows clients to monitor their link’s performance.

The OmniAccess team will be at the forthcoming Monaco Yacht Show from 21-24 September 2011. For further information please contact Carlos Carbajal (+34-618-98-658 or +34-971-22-19-79) or Cher Van Reeven (+34-648-265-681)
